Certified Data Scientist Specialized in Process Mining
Do you manage one or more processes in your organization? This course shows you how to harness the power of process mining to make data-driven decisions. You will learn how to get away from manual process analysis and save time. Our experts will teach you the different methods of process analysis, independent of any provider and based on the latest scientific knowledge!
During the course you will learn the following:
- Gain a process oriented perspective on organizations and data
- Identify the real, data-driven execution of your process utilizing Process Discovery and semi-manual Process Discovery
- Methods to compare real process executions and the expected execution
- Use your process data efficiently to utilize your best-possible potential for your organization
- Advice and tricks from your Fraunhofer experts
- Identify problems with specific numbers
- All about the project: Methodology of a process mining project
- How to scale process mining in your company
All you need is a Windows laptop with the necessary permissions to install software and some basic Python knowledge, like basic knowledge about data types related to pandas and basic visualization methods. If you want to fresh up your skills, consider taking the free Python course of our institute. And off you go! You can find the exact course schedule in the figure at the bottom of the page.
If you have any questions, you can also contact our experts directly. You can find the contact link on the right side.
Target Group
You are a Data Scientist or on your way to becoming one. You are responsible for one or more processes in your organization and want to contribute to more data-driven decisions. When you hear Python, the first thing you think of is not Kaa from the Jungle Book, but the programming language. Alternatively, you simply take the Fraunhofer course to fresh up your python knowledge. You are willing to gain a technology-driven, independent perspective on Process Mining.
Certification
Certification takes place through the Fraunhofer Personnel Certification Body. The certificate attests to the graduates' relevant, innovative practical knowledge and proven competence.
Speaker
In past courses, we have been able to attract top-class speakers for the classroom phase and the online events. For example, the "Godfather of Process Mining" Prof. Wil van der Aalst opened the last face-to-face event and shared his view of process mining and the future development of the field with the participants. Another great example was Prof. Maximilian Röglinger, who gave insights in his recent research on Process Mining in the Innovation Briefing.
Wil van der Aalst is a professor at RWTH Aachen University, head of the Process and Data Science (PADS) group and Chief Scientist at Celonis. He is an IFIP Fellow, IEEE Fellow, ACM Fellow and one of the most cited computer scientists in the world, also known as the "Godfather of Process Mining". In 2018, he was awarded a Humboldt Professorship, Germany's most highly endowed research award.
Maximilian Röglinger is the Chair of Business Informatics and Value-Oriented Process Management at the University of Bayreuth. He is also the Managing Director of the FIM Research Institute for Information Management. His research focuses on the intersection of customer, process, and IT, covering areas such as process management, digitalization, customer relationship management, and strategic IT management. With an extensive industry track record, he has collaborated with renowned companies such as ABBYY, BMW, Deutsche Bank, Siemens, and ZEISS.
Voices of previous participants
We asked some of our previous participants to describe what the course was about and what remains from their perspective.
‘One learns to generate data-driven insights that can barely be debated.’
‘A methodical introduction to Process Mining, with a perspective on how to implement it within the company. It was enjoyable!’
‘A professional course with a solid scientific background. Focused on technical aspects rather than marketing. Learning in small groups was very effective. I got a lot of value for the price.’
‘The training, which effectively combines different learning methods, provides a very good insight into the findings from research and practice on the topic of Process Mining. I highly recommend this training for process managers who aim to reach the next level of process analysis and optimization.’
